Initial Comments:
This report is the result of an unannounced recertification survey that was conducted on January 20, 2022 and January 21, 2022, at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children - Transplant Center by the Pennsylvania Department of Health - Division of Acute and Ambulatory Care at the request of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS). It was determined that the facility was in compliance with Part 482 - Conditions of Participation For Hospital - Subpart E - Requirements for Specialty Hospital - 482.68 Special requirements for transplant centers.
The Medicare recertification survey included the following type of organ transplant program: Pediatric Kidney Only (PKO).
